Alison "Ali" Tupper, age 46, of Atlantic, IA, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at the Exira Care Center in Exira, IA.
Alison Dawn Maas was born on April 11, 1978, in Atlantic, IA, the daughter of Roger and Patricia (Brix) Maas. Ali attended and graduated from Atlantic Community Schools and then furthered her education at William Penn University in Oskaloosa, IA, where she then graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business. In 2002, she married Rich Tupper. To this union, they have one daughter, Annie.
Ali worked as an auditor at Wells Fargo Financial in Des Moines before returning to Atlantic. When she moved to Atlantic, she also worked as an auditor for the Iowa Workforce Development. Following that, she worked as a deputy clerk for the City of Atlantic. The last six years were tough for Ali as she battled breast cancer. But through the most challenging times, she knew she had an outpouring of love and support from family and friends.
Preceded in Ali’s death were her father, Roger Maas; grandparents, Norma (Don) Brix, and Gilbert (Florence) Maas; and a cousin, Randi Jo Munch.
Ali is survived by her daughter, Annie; her mother, Patty Maas; siblings Shannon (Rob) Gearheart and Joe (Melissa) Maas; stepdaughter Kelsy Tupper and her children Kaemyn and Mason; and stepdaughter Jordan Tupper and her son Drake; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
The memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at the United Church of Christ in Atlantic, IA, with Pastor Heather Santi-Brown officiating the service. A luncheon will be served following the service in the Fellowship Hall of the United Church of Christ.
Public visitation with the family will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 15, 2024, at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Atlantic.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Ali’s Family at this time. They will be designated at a later date. They may be mailed to the Schmidt Family Funeral Home P.O. Box 523, Atlantic, IA 50022.
