Allen Joseph Klocke, the son of Leonard and Leona Bierl Klocke, was born June 21, 1962, in Carroll, Iowa and died August 24, 2008, at his home near Audubon, Iowa at the age of 46 years, 2 months, and 3 days.
Al was baptized and confirmed at St. Marys Catholic Church in Willey, Iowa. He attended parochial grade school at Dedham/Willey, then graduated from Kuemper Catholic High School with the Class of 1980. During school Al helped operate the family farm and after graduation farmed full time.
On June 23, 1984, he was united in marriage to Susan Marie Kennebeck at St. Marys Catholic Church in Willey. Four children James, Bradley, Jennifer, and Brian were born to this union. They lived in Willey for a short time, then moved to their present home near Audubon where Al operated a livestock and crop farm.
Al was a member of St. Patricks Catholic Church. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Columbian Club. He had been President of the Audubon Pork Producers and was on the board of directors of Dedham Co-op. Next to his family and farming, his greatest love was golf and he had been a long time member of the Audubon Golf and Country Club. Al was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents: Anton and Anna Klocke and Frank and Catherine Bierl.
Survivors include his wife Susan of Audubon, IA; his children: James and wife Tara and their daughter Emma of Dedham, IA; Bradley and special friend Brittney Hjuler of Audubon; Jennifer and special friend Dakota Peugh of Laramie, WY; and Brian of Audubon; his parents: Leonard and Leona Klocke of Carroll, IA; his in laws: Leon and Donna Mae Kennebeck of Panora, IA; his brothers and sisters: Janice and Ray Reineke of Council Bluffs, IA; Dale and Mary Klocke of Coon Rapids, IA; Kenny and Deb Klocke of Mount Carmel, IA; Denise and Maury Brincks, Appleton, WI; Marilyn and Matt Schultes of Johnston, IA; Gene and Chris Klocke and Daryl and Cheryl Klocke all of Dedham, IA; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Marcia and Bill Hackfort of Panora, IA; Dennis and Julie Kennebeck of Carroll, IA; Rick and Martha Kennebeck of Elkhorn, NE; Greg and Donna Kennebeck of Webb City, MO; Beverly and Gene Schultes of Dedham, IA; Corine and Alan Handlos of Coon Rapids and Nancy and Dave Mescher of Granger, IA; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many, many friends.
Cemetery:
Interment will be in the St. Patricks Catholic Cemetery in Audubon.
Visitation:
The family will meet friends Wednesday afternoon at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Audubon from 3:00 to 5:00 with a Rosary at 3:30. The family will return to the church at 7:00 with a Scripture Service at 7:30.
Service:
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Wayne Gubbels on Thursday, August 28, 2008, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Audubon.
