Alpha (Billie) Delilah Bald

Alpha Delilah (Billie) Bald, the daughter of Jim and Elizabeth Kusel Jensen, was born October 18, 1919, in Minneapolis, Minnesota and died August 25, 2008, at her home in Audubon, Iowa at the age of 88 years, 10 months, and 7 days.
Billie attended school in Des Moines, Iowa and Ross, Iowa.
On November 24, 1934, she was united in marriage to Lawrence Robinson in St. Joseph, Missouri. Two children Colleen and Ron were born to this union. Billie married Harry Bald on June 11, 1969 in South Dakota. Billie was a homemaker for many years but worked in the Audubon Canning Factory during the summers. Billie later worked as a waitress at the Dinner Bell Caf for several years. She helped clean with Vernie Fredericksen for a few years. Billie then was employed as a dietary aide at the Audubon County Memorial Hospital in Audubon until she retired in 1986.
During retirement Billie enjoyed the solitude of her home. She made many trips to Omaha for family gatherings and holiday events.
Preceding her in death in addition to her husbands: Lawrence Robinson and Harry Bald, were her grandson Vance Waddell; her parents; her brothers: Roy and Ruth Jensen; John and Mayme Jensen and Maynard (Bill) and Mina Jensen.
Survivors include her children: Colleen and Everett Waddell of Omaha, NE and Ron and Peg Robinson of Cedar Rapids, IA; her grandchildren: Joyce and Larry Scobee; Kerry and Tamee Waddell; Steven and Pam Waddell, all of Omaha, NE; Ethan Adkins of Des Moines, IA; Sabrina Levy; Emilee and Nick Ridgeway, all of Cedar Rapids, IA; Ralph and Sara McLain of Springville, IA; 18 great-grandchildren: 2 great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Cemetery:
Interment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Audubon.

Visitation:
The family will meet friends Thursday, August 28 from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at Kessler Funeral Home in Audubon.

Service:
Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Steven Frock on Thursday, August 29, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at Kessler Funeral Home in Audubon, IA.
