Anedra Ruby Newton, the daughter of William W. and Neomah Warren Spradlin, was born July 12, 1924, at St. Josephs Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska and died at her home in Omaha on February 18, 2011,at the age of 86 years, 7 months, and 6 days.
Anedra was baptized and later confirmed. She attended Omaha public schools graduating from Omaha South High School with the Class of 1941. Anedra was married and had five children. She was a home maker for many years raising her family.
On August 22, 1970, she was united in marriage to Harold Newton in Lexington, Nebraska. Harold was an over the road truck driver so they lived in various areas including Texas, Colorado, Omaha, Nebraska, Carter Lake, Iowa and Exira, Iowa. During these years, Anedra managed apartment complexes and houses. Harold died December 13, 1992. Anedra lived in Exira for several years then later moved to Omaha to be near her family.
Anedra enjoyed playing cards, especially poker. She also enjoyed assembling jig saw puzzle. But one of her greatest joys was spending time with and playing with her grandchildren.
Anedra was preceded in death in addition to her husband Harold by her children George Steve Seffron, Sharon Owens, and Wilma Renshaw; her grandchildren Wilma Dawn Seffron and Michael Moore; her parents; and her sister Margaret Spradlin.
Survivors include her children Anedra Ellen Hatfield and William and wife Rhonda Seffron all of Omaha, Nebraska; 21 grandchildren; great grandchildren; and great great-grandchildren; her brother William Spradlin of Bellevue, Nebraska; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Inurnment will be in the Exira Cemetery in Exira.
Service:
The Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be conducted by Pastor Glen Meyer on Saturday, March 5, 2011, at 2:00 P.M. at the Kessler Funeral Home in Exira, Iowa.
