Annabelle Hansen

May 26, 1925 — May 24, 2008

Annabelle Hansen, the daughter of Jens P. and Johanne Jorgine (Jensen) Jensen was born May 26, 1925 in Audubon County, Iowa. She entered into eternal rest at the Salem Lutheran Home in Elk Horn, Iowa at the age of 82 years, 11 months and 29 days.
Annabelle grew up in Audubon and Shelby Counties, Iowa and graduated from the Elk Horn High School with the class of 1942. She then worked for several families in their homes.
She married Arthur H. Hansen on April 9, 1954 at the Elk Horn Lutheran Church. Following their marriage they farmed six miles west of Exira, Iowa.
Annabelle had a great love for her family, the outdoors and her pets. She was member of the Brayton Lutheran Church and the Brayton Lutheran Women of the ELCA. She was a member of the Neighborhood Social Country Club for over 50 years. Arthur and Annabelle celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in April of 2004.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents are her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Walter and Tena Hansen; her brother-in-law Elmer Hansen.
Survivors include her husband: Arthur Hansen of Exira, IA; her son: Randy Hansen of Exira, IA; her daughter: Lisa and husband Martin Ericksen of Elk Horn, IA; her grandchildren: Matthew and Courtney Ericksen; her sister: Rosa and husband Glen Clemsen; her brother-in-law: Merlyn Hansen of Brayton, IA; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorials:
Memorials are preferred to the Brayton Lutheran Church, Salem Lutheran Home or Cass County Memorial Hospice.

Cemetery:
Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery west of Brayton.

Visitation:
The family will meet friends Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 at the Kessler Funeral Home in Exira.

Service:
Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Steven Frock on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at 10:30 A.M. at the Brayton Lutheran Church in Brayton, IA.
