Arlene Waterbury

Arlene Faye Waterbury, 95, of Atlantic, Iowa, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020, at Salem Lutheran Home in Elkhorn, Iowa.

Arlene was born June 25, 1925, in Glenvil, Nebraska. She was the daughter of Anton and Helena Classen.

On January 20, 1946, Arlene married Stanley Max Waterbury of Blue Hill, Nebraska, in the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Glenvil, Nebraska. They had one still born infant, Carol, a daughter, Shirley, and a son, Mike. After raising their children in Grand Island, Nebraska, they moved to Atlantic, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Carol; her husband, Stanley Max Waterbury; her father and mother; and two brothers.

Survivors are a daughter, Shirley Hayman and her husband, Norman, of West Point, Indiana and a son, Michael Waterbury and his wife, Debbie, of Atlantic, Iowa.

Also surviving are six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

The family is thinking of a service in the spring.
