Bobby Ray Crawley, Jr., the son of Bobby Ray Crawley, Sr. and Phyllis ( Beasley) Crawley, was born December 4, 1964, at the Guthrie County Memorial Hospital in Guthrie Center, Iowa and died July 10, 2018, at the Friendship Home in Audubon, Iowa at the age of 53 years, 7 months, and 6 days.
Bobby attended Guthrie County, Iowa schools, and then when the family moved to Fremont, Nebraska he graduated from the Fremont High School with the Class of 1982. Bobby worked in Fremont for several years then returned to Guthrie Center, Iowa where he was employed at the nursing home in Panora, Iowa. In 2004 he moved to Exira, Iowa and was employed at Equipment Brokers Incorporated in Audubon, Iowa where he disassembled cases.
On July 5, 2006, he was united in marriage to Laura Fitzgerald near her relatives in Jacksonville, Illinois. Bobby continued working at EBI where he disassembled cases and then moved to applying the powder coat. He worked until 2012 and had to retire due to health issues. After recovering from some of his health problems he was able to go back work in 2016 at Hoffman Manufacturing in Manning. Bobby final had to retire for good in 2017 when he was diagnosed with cancer. Bobby struggled with the cancer treatments which eventually caused an infection in his spine which resulted in paralyzing him from the chest down. Bobby moved to the Friendship Home in Audubon on January 16, 2018.
Bobby enjoyed watching TV. He loved to watch Westerns, The Dukes of Hazzard, football and NASCAR racing. He enjoyed playing games on his phone and going fishing. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Preceding him in death was his step-mother Ruby Crawley; his grandparents Chester and Lavonne Crawley and Ralph and Kay Beasley; his step-brothers Randy Coe and Kenneth Coe.
Survivors include his wife Laura Crawley of Audubon, Iowa; his son Travis Stanek of Jefferson, Iowa; his father Bobby Ray Crawley, Sr. of Guthrie Center, Iowa and his mother Phyllis Reith of Fremont, Nebraska; his brothers and sisters Jimmy Crawley of Tucson, Arizona, Carolyn Crawley and Phil Smith of Palatka, Florida, Tammy Crawley and Danny and wife Molly Crawley all of Fremont, Nebraska, and Tanya and husband Tom Anderson of Exira, Iowa; his step-brothers and step-sisters Kathy, Karen, Sharon, Melvin, Sandy, and Russell; his father-in-law and mother-in-law Jearri and Steven Bush and his sister-in-law Kaylin C. Bush all of Clermont, Florida; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
The family will meet with friends Saturday, July 21, 2018, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the Harvest Family Church in Audubon, Iowa. The Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be conducted by Pastor Curtis Wolfe and Steven Bush on Saturday afternoon, July 21, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at the Harvest Family Church in Audubon. Inurnment will be at a later date. Honorary casket bearers will be Jim Crawley, Dan Crawley, Tom Anderson, T.J. Anderson, Tray Anderson.
