Bonnie Florene (Strong) Moore was born in Oakland, Iowa, on January 21, 1933, to Guy and Eva Strong and passed away on Monday April 15, 2013, at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs, IA, with her family at her side.
Bonnie attended school in Oakland. She met and married her first love, James Foldenauer in October of 1951. To this union, seven children were born. In 1967, Bonnie married Bill Moore of Omaha, with one child resulting from this union.
Bonnie's varied interests included Canadian Lord Calvert, camping in the timber of Wyoming and building birdhouses in her shop. She also enjoyed Native American culture. Bonnie's sense of humor stayed with her until the day she passed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Eva Strong; her son, Bart; her brothers, Orville, Jimmy, and Donald Guy and her sister, Nola.
Bonnie is survived by her children, Cindy West of Atlantic, IA, Dan Bruns and his wife, Brenda of Menlo, IA, Bonnie and her husband, Gerald of Flin Flon, Canada, Patty Coffman of Oakland, IA, Laura Crane of Kansas, Cheryl Pitman and her husband Brett of Auburn, New York and Toni Moore of Atlantic; 19 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2013, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Hockenberry Family Care Funeral Home in Atlantic, Iowa.
