Casey Steven Bolick

November 10, 1988 — June 30, 2018

Casey Steven Bolick, the son of R. John Bolick, III and Lori (Mullenger) Bolick, was born November 10, 1988, in Hickory, North Carolina, and died June 30, 2018, from injuries sustained in a collision of his motorcycle with a deer in Webster County, Iowa at the age of 29 years, 7 months, and 20 days.
Casey was baptized and confirmed at the First United Methodist Church in Audubon, Iowa. He attended the Audubon Community Schools graduating with the High School Class of 2007. Casey was employed by area farmers doing field work and working livestock for several years before reaching his life-long dream of becoming an over the road truck driver. He was employed by Jed Kasperbauer Trucking for five years. He drove a tank truck hauling bio-products from coast to coast. While trucking he was a member of the Midwest Loud and Proud trucker’s society.
Casey loved his family and doted on his niece. He loved Kenedee and their little dog Piper. And Casey loved trucking, which for him was not a profession but his life. He traveled across the United States and saw many wonderful sites and touched the hearts of the numerous people he met. Casey loved riding his motorcycle, listening to “old school” Country Music, and spending time with his family and friends. He was proud of his “Southern Heritage” but loved living in Gray. Casey, his charismatic smile and his ornery sense of humor, was loved and will be truly missed by the many that knew him.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents Jim and Virlee Mullenger; his aunt Darla Mullenger; and his cousin Michael Schmidt.
Survivors include his parents John and Lori Bolick of Gray, Iowa; his brothers Johnny and wife Kristi Bolick of Hickory, North Carolina and Cale Bolick and Amber Libke of Carroll, Iowa; his love Kenedee Turner of Audubon, Iowa; his nephews and niece Tristan Reed and Thorne Bolick both of Hickory, North Carolina and Raynalyn Bolick of Carroll, Iowa; his uncle Ron Mullenger of Hamlin Iowa; his aunt Julie and husband Dean Schmidt of Audubon, Iowa; his first cousins: Amanda Vaughn (Jeff Brown), Travis Mullenger (Amanda), Leslie Roseboom (Matt Thomas), Bradley Schmidt (Beth Henderson), and Taylor Roseboom; other relatives and many friends.
The family will meet with friends Friday evening, July 6, 2018, at 4:00 p.m. at the Kessler Funeral Home in Audubon, Iowa. Funeral services will be conduct by Pastor Kathy Kluis on Saturday morning, July 7, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at the Gray Heritage Rose Garden in Gray, Iowa. Seating is limited so please bring your lawn chairs and blankets to sit on. Interment will be in the Gray Cemetery west of Gray, Iowa.
