Charles Otto Schafer, age 70, of Jefferson, IA, formerly of Dexter, IA, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023, at Regency Park Nursing & Rehabilitation Center of Jefferson.
Charles O. Schafer was born on February 3, 1953, to Walter and Orma Schafer in Dexter, IA where he grew up. He graduated from Dexfield High School. Chuck was a lineman for Par Electric.
He married Sandra St. Clair, and two children, were born to this union. His last years were spent at Regency Park in Jefferson, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors are son Douglas Schafer, and daughter, Kimberly Schafer; Grandchildren Domenick Schafer and Piper Schafer and sister Jean (Marion) Parker.
Graveside service will take place at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at Dexter Cemetery in Dexter, IA.
Arrangements are handled with the Schmidt Family Funeral Home of Adair, IA.
