Charlotte Louise Searls

Charlotte Louise Searls, the daughter of Fred Sylvester and Thelma Louise Wickham Searls was born June 12, 1947 at St. Anthony’s Regional Hospital in Carroll, Iowa and died July 13, 2013 at the Hospice Green House in Phoenix, Arizona at the age of 66 years, 1 month, and 1 day. Charlotte was baptized and confirmed at the United Methodist Church in Audubon, Iowa. She attended the Audubon Community Schools graduating with the High School Class of 1965. She attended Iowa State University and graduated in 1969. She then moved to Arizona where she started her teaching career in home economics and becoming a guidance counselor and working in several high schools throughout the valley. Upon retirement from teaching she moved to Prescott, Arizona where she became an accomplished watercolor artist and enjoying her retirement. She was preceded in death by her parents, grand-parents and other family members. Survivors include her brother Roger Searls, and his wife Betty of Stony Creek, NC; their 4 children Brian, Beth, Eric and Melissa and her 10 great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her brother Paul of Phoenix, Arizona. She is also survived by one uncle, Kenneth Searls of Audubon, IA and several cousins.

Graveside memorial services will be held Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Audubon, Iowa.
