Clyde Orville Brown, 74, of Griswold, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, October 26, at the Cass County Hospice Center, Atlantic, Iowa.
Clyde was born August 30, 1936, the son of Clyde and Gladys (Nary) Brown in Omaha, Nebraska. He was united in marriage to Donna Anderson.
Clyde worked in law enforcement most of his working career. He served as Sergeant for the Douglas County Sheriffs Department in Omaha, NE., and the Chief of Police for Griswold, IA, an investigator at Western Electric and a security officer at Mutual of Omaha in Omaha. After retirement, he was employed at Wal-Mart in Atlantic, IA. Clyde was a Para-trooper for the United States Army and a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife Donna of Griswold, Iowa; his daughter, Sherry Seyler and friend Victor "Buzz" of Griswold; his granddaughters, Amanda (Seyler) Rytych and her husband Corey of Omaha, Ne.; Destiny, Alisha, Amanda Dawn and Bridgette Renee Seyler all of Griswold; his grandsons, Nick Seyler and friend, Siarra and John Seyler all of Griswold; and many friends.
A private family gathering was held with no public services planned, per Clyde's wishes.
