Curtis Dale Schrock, the son of Walter and Alice Jurgens Schrock, was born February 6, 1955, in Audubon, Iowa and died July 18, 2008, at his home in Audubon, Iowa at the age of 53 years, 5 months, and 12 days.
Curtis was baptized and confirmed at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Audubon. He attended Audubon Community Schools, graduating with the High School Class of 1973. Curt moved to Des Moines, Iowa and attended Auto Mechanic School for a short time, then returned to Audubon. Curt was employed by Merk Grain which eventually became West Central. Curt delivered feed and operated the crop sprayer for over 25 years. He then worked for other farmers doing odd jobs and most recently was employed by H. and K.
Curtis was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Audubon. He was a member of the Audubon Volunteer Fire Department and was a certified EMT. Curt enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed Figure 8 racing and had received several trophies.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his brother Russell Schrock and his nephew Michael D. Schrock.
Survivors include his brothers and sisters: Lois and husband Howard Beck of Rio Rancho, NM; Ray and wife Vicki Schrock of Fergus Falls, MN; Micheal R. and wife Mary Schrock of Des Moines, IA; and Zelda and husband Larry Smith of Carroll, IA; 7 nieces and nephews; 6 great-nieces and nephews; his uncle Chester Larson of Appleton, MN; other relatives and friends.
Cemetery:
Interment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Audubon.
Visitation:
The family will meet friends Wednesday evening at 7:00 at the Kessler Funeral Home in Audubon.
Service:
Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor David Anthony on Thursday, July 24, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Audubon, IA.
