Cynthia Camille Lansman

Cynthia Camille Lansman, the daughter of Robert and Josie (Minnich) Clark was born June 1, 1961, at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Carroll, Iowa and died March 23, 2018, at the Audubon County Memorial Hospital in Audubon, Iowa at the age of 56 years, 9 months, and 22 days.

Cindy was baptized and confirmed at the First United Methodist Church in Audubon, Iowa. She attended Audubon Community Schools graduating with the High School Class of 1979. Cindy moved to Omaha, Nebraska and attended Patricia Stevens School. After finishing school Cindy moved to Denton, Texas.

In 1985 Cindy married Turgut Gorener at her parents’ home in Audubon, Iowa. They moved to Erdak, Turkey. One son Nicholas was born to this union. Cindy was a homemaker during these years. Later Cindy returned to Audubon, Iowa and was employed at the Audubon Public Library. She worked at the Library for several years and then worked at Jumbo Jack’s for a short time.

Cindy married Randy Lansman on June 24, 2006. She was employed at the Audubon Community Schools in the Library for a while. Then was a department manager at Walmart until she had to retire due to her health.

Throughout her years, Cindy, was always an artist and painted numerous works of art. She wrote and illustrated a children’s book, Mother’s Surprise, which she had published. Cindy loved all types of animals; she collected elephants, and enjoyed working in her flower garden.

Preceding her in death were her in-laws: Laverne Lansman and David and wife Donna Lansman; her grandparents Ike and Neva Clark and Joe and Opal Minnich.

Survivors include her husband Randy Lansman of Audubon, Iowa; her son Nicholas Gorener of Austin, Texas; her parents Robert and Josie Clark of Audubon, Iowa; her brother Eric and wife Joan Clark of Madison, Wisconsin; her step-children Palle and wife Hege Lansman and their children Amalie and Kodi all of Audubon, Iowa, Torben and wife Neri Lansman and their children Ada and Anders, all of San Luis, Arizona, and Preben and wife Ashley Lansman and their children Ayla and Nihls all of West Des Moines, Iowa; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Susan and Mike Weber of Manning, Iowa, Julie and husband Gary Stone of West Des Moines, Iowa, Tom and wife Lisa Lansman of Bettendorf, Iowa, and Kathy Lansman of Des Moines, Iowa; her aunts Connie and husband Clint Jackson of Omaha, Nebraska, and Madeline and husband Don Moss of Lawrence, Kansas; her cousins: Rachel Lambert of Omaha, Nebraska, Sheldon and Mina Moss of Lawrence, Kansas, and Brian and Kristine Boston of Waynesville, Missouri; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

There will be a Celebration of Life Memorial Gathering at 5:00 p.m. with a spiritual meditation at 6:00 p.m. conducted by Pastor Doug Opp followed by food and fellowship with the family at the Kessler Funeral Home in Audubon.
