Dale William Miller, the son of Willie H. and Martha Dreier Miller, was born November 21, 1928, at his parents home in Audubon County, Iowa and died June 19, 2008, at the Audubon County Memorial Hospital in Audubon, Iowa at the age of 79 years, 6 months, and 28 days.
Dale was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church north of Audubon and confirmed at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Audubon. He attended rural school Lincoln No. 8, then helped operate the family farm with his father. Dale was inducted into the U.S. Army in 1951. During the Korean Conflict he served in Alaska where he operated generators for anti-aircraft guns. He was honorably discharged in 1953. He returned to Audubon and was employed at A & G Farm Service.
On October 1, 1954, he was united in marriage to Carol Jorgensen at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. One son, Dean, was born to this union. Dale continued to work at A & G Farm Service for a short time, then returned to farming. They lived west of Exira. Dale was injured in a farm accident in 1995, then moved to the Exira Care Center in January of 1996. Dale was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Audubon and a member of the Farm Bureau.
Preceding him in death were his parents his mother-in-law and father-in-law: Marius (Mike) and wife Anna Jorgensen; his brothers-in-law and sister-in-law: Harold Hansen, Al Rubel and Ardis Wolf.
Survivors include his wife Carol Miller of Exira, IA; his son Dean Miller of Brayton, IA; his sister Joan Hansen of Audubon, IA; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Shirley Rubel of Atlantic, IA; Marvin and Doris Jorgensen of Exira; Phillip and Jane Wolf of Missouri; his nieces and nephews: Doug and Jodene Hansen of Indianola, IA; Gary and Jill Hansen of Marion, IA; Michael and Mert Jorgensen of Colorado; Mark and Zeeta Jorgensen of Exira; Roxann and Rick Wheatley of Adair, IA; Neal Wolf of Jefferson, IA; Jan and Tim Hastert of Harlan, IA; Tony and Shelly Rubel of Atlantic; his uncle Walter Boldt of Audubon; his aunts: Alberta Dreier of Aspinwall, IA; Alice Dreier of Audubon; Lillie Nielsen of Elk Horn, IA; other relatives and friends.

. Interment will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Kimballton, IA.
Visitation:
The family will meet friends Sunday evening at 5:30 P.M. at the Kessler Funeral Home in Exira, IA.
Service:
Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Bradley Ketcham on Monday, June 23, 2008 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Audubon, IA.
