Danny Lovell

Danny Joe Lovell, 48, of Adair, Iowa, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2020, at Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.

Danny was born July 19, 1971, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Jack and Nancy (Mangeldorf) Lovell. He attended Adair-Casey Schools and graduated in 1990.

He had been a resident of the Adair area most of his life. Danny worked as a carpenter with his dad, as well as being self-employed with Lovell Construction.

Danny enjoyed watching car races, especially NASCAR with his favorite racer being Jimmie Johnson. He also collected NASCAR memorabilia. He enjoyed going to concerts, one of his favorite ones was Kid Rock which he attended several times along with other concerts being Guns& Roses, Ozzy Osbourne, and Motley Crue. Dan was always ready for an adventure. He enjoyed being with all his friends and family. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jack; stepmother Shelly Lovell; a brother, Jason Lovell and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Danny is survived by his son, Deven Lovell of Ankeny, IA; his mother, Nancy Lovell of Adair, IA; a sister, Nicole (Jacob) Stephens of Lenox, IA; brothers, Matthew Lovell of Adair, IA, Thomas Lovell of Colorado and John Lovell of Creston, IA; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m., with the family present from 1:00 –

2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 19, 2020, at Hockenberry Family Care in Adair, Iowa.

CDC guidelines will be enforced. Per family’s request, facial mask will be enforced in attendance of the services.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 19, 2020, at Hockenberry Family Care in Adair with burial in Sunnyhill Cemetery in Adair, Iowa, at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to family’s wishes is preferred.

Hockenberry Family Care in Adair is in charge of the arrangements.
