Deborah Beach

Deborah Lynn Johnson was born March 4, 1961, in Bottineau, North Dakota, the daughter of Robert Oliver and Gloria May (Fallen) Johnson. She passed away Monday, November 25, 2013, at the Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic, Iowa.

Deb grew up in Sutton, North Dakota, where she graduated from the Glenfield - Sutton High School in 1979. On May 23, 1980, she married Bernard Dean Beach in Sutton, ND. The couple moved to Atlantic in October of 1984. Deb provided daycare in her home until her children started school. She worked at Brocker Karns & Karns Insurance and was currently employed as the office manager at Olsen Fuel Supply in Atlantic. Deb was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Atlantic.

She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Bernard Beach.

Deb is survived by her husband, Dean Beach of Atlantic, IA; her daughter, Cassie (Marc) Freeman and their son Corbin of Council Bluffs, IA; and her son, SGT Ryan Beach of Fort Carson, Colorado Springs, CO; her parents, Robert and Gloria Johnson of Sutton ND; her brother, Douglas (Sherri) Johnson of Sutton, ND; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 28, 2013, at Hockenberry Family Care in Atlantic.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, November 29, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Atlantic.

A luncheon will be held in the Fellowship Hall following the service.


Memorials may be made to Unity Point Hospice in Atlantic.
