Della Lou Brubaker, the daughter of William and Pauline Persol Fulbright, was born May 17, 1933, in Long Beach, California and died May 21, 2010, at her home in Audubon, Iowa at the age of 77 years and 4 days
Della Lou was baptized and confirmed at a Presbyterian Church in Oklahoma. She attended grade school in Oklahoma then graduated from Pauley High School in Long Beach, California, with the Class of 1951.
In 1951 she was united in marriage to Francis Brubaker in Long Beach. Four children were born to this union. Della Lou was a homemaker for many years. She was employed as a waitress at Jerrys Restaurant where she later became the manager. She then worked as a proof-reader for the Siskiyou County Newspaper in Yreka, California for several years. They moved to Tacoma, Washington where Della Lou and Francis managed an apartment complex. Francis died in 1989. Della Lou retired from managing apartments. She lived in Tacoma for a short time, then moved to Yreka, California, Texas, and later Des Moines, Iowa. She moved to Audubon County in 2005.
Della Lou had been a member of the Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star receiving a gold pin for being a member for 50 years. Della Lou loved being with her family. She enjoyed going to the Casinos and playing the penny slot machines.
Preceding her in death in addition to her husband Francis; were her parents; her mother-in-law: Gladys Harris; her brother and sister: Guy Robert Fulbright and Patsy Sue and her husband George Bray; and her brother-in-law: Lawrence Lefty Donald Brubaker.
Survivors include her children: Claudia and husband Mike Justice of Yreka, California, Frank and wife Lori Brubaker of Tacoma, Washington, and twin sons: Lynn and wife Trish Brubaker and Larry and wife Naomi Brubaker all of Audubon, Iowa; 15 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; her father-in-law: Pitchlyn Harris of Myrtle Creek, Oklahoma; her brothers and sisters: Lana Rose and husband Kenny Harrison of Golden Veil, Arizona, Billy Frank Fulbright and Betty JoAnn Birchfield both of Bullhead City, Arizona, Robert Lynn Fulbright of Los Angeles, California; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Cemetery:
Following cremation, Della Lou will be transported to California where she will be interred in the family cemetery lot.
