Dennis (Denny) Dean Reha was born August 25, 1941, and called to heaven April 19, 2012. Dennis was born to Vernon and Ruthe (McCarthy) Reha. Dennis was the elder to 6 siblings, Terry (Omaha, NE.), Con and wife Diane (Lincoln, NE.), Jim and Delores (Costa Mesa, CA), Mark and Trisha (Adair), Mary and Dan Waldrop (Plymouth, MN) and the late Robert (Fargo, ND). Dennis was married to Anna Kimpel on September 19, 1970, at Saint John's Catholic Church in Adair. Into this marriage 3 sons were born: Christopher and Nikki (Van Meter, IA), Michael and Amy (Adair, IA) and Timothy and Robyn (Ankeny, IA). His sons had made Denny a very happy and proud Grandpa by having 13 grandchildren, (Chris) Cody, Alexandra, Adrianna, Anthony, Mahalia, Nicolas; (Mike) Rachel, Caleb and the newest addition Gianna; (Tim) Lee, Katelyn, Kynedee & Pressly. The most important thing in his life was his wife, family, and his companion, Bandit.
Many strong friendships were built and cherished throughout the years as Denny was a partner with his father and uncle in the family's trucking business, Reha Brothers Trucking and then Reha Trucking when Denny bought the brothers out. The company was well known in central Iowa for their service and dedication to their customers and employed many great people over the years. Denny then was the manager of the Adair County Landfill and later drove dump truck for Coons Trucking.
Dennis spent many years in community service in the Adair County area. He was a fireman for the Adair Fire & Rescue for 28 years and served as Chief and Assistant Chief for much of his time. He also served on the Adair Chamber of Commerce, Adair Parade Committee, Centennial Committee and the Adair County Sherriff's Posse for nearly 20 years. He was a member of the Iowa Motor Truck Association & Iowa Firefighter's Association. Dennis was a lifelong member of St. John's Catholic Church, of which he sat on the church council, and was in the Knights of Columbus until his health began failing.
Dennis was preceded in death by his grandparents; father, Vernon; mother, Ruthe; mother-in-law, Elena; father-in-law, Clyde; brother, Robert; and many, many friends and customers.
