Diana Pearson

Diana Sue Pearson, 67, of Atlantic, Iowa, passed away Monday, January 5, 2015, at the Exira Care Center in Exira, Iowa.

Sue was born May 6, 1947, in Atlantic, Iowa, to Henry Herman and Lillian Jean (Goff) Miller. She attended the Omaha Public schools. She also lived in Omaha, moving back to Atlantic and residing there for the last 13 years. She was a waitress at the Villa, Pines and Van's Chat and Chew restaurants in Atlantic and Gorat's Steak House and LaCasa Italian restaurants in Omaha, NE. She was a member of the Women's Christian's Club. She loved football and always rooted for the Nebraska Cornhuskers and New England Patriots. She was an avid quilter and made beautiful quilts for all of her grandchildren. She loved to cook and bake and passed down many recipes still being used by her children and grandchildren. She loved her family and we love her. She will be missed.

She was preceded in death by her father, and a sister, Barbara Kathleen Ofert.

Surviving Sue are her children, Paul Pearson, Jeane Pearson and Sharon Pearson, all of Omaha, NE; grandchildren, Paul Pearson Jr. and Nick Pearson of Omaha, NE, Tiffany Pearson of Texas, Diana Pearson, Antowyn Pearson, Tevin King and Kalisha King, all of Omaha, NE; great-grandchildren, Maykala Pearson, Connor Pearson, Christen Pearson, Wesley Williams, Makayla Williams, Adrian Thomas, Antowyn Pearson Jr., Natalia Pearson, Lellani Pearson, Journi King and Naomi King; mother, Lillian Jean Miller of Atlantic, IA; brothers, Kern Miller, Sam Miller and Henry Miller Jr., all of Atlantic, IA and Joseph Miller of Omaha, NE; sisters, Sally Ostrander of Omaha, NE and LuAnn and husband Scott Ihnken of Atlantic, IA. Many nieces, nephews and friends including Special Friend Joseph Amante of Omaha, NE.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 8, 2015, at Hockenberry Family Care in Atlantic, Iowa.

A committal service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at the Atlantic Cemetery, Atlantic, Iowa.

The family suggests memorials go to the American Cancer Society or to the family for designation later.
