Dianna Lynn Pine

Dianna Lynn Pine, age 76, passed away peacefully April 20th, 2024. Dianna was born September 4th, 1947 to parents Miles and LaVonne Collins in Guthrie Center, Iowa. She graduated from high school in Guthrie Center and moved to Atlantic, Iowa shortly after where she worked in restaurants most of her adult life until she retired in 2015. It was in one of these restaurants where she met her husband Marion Pine, with whom she eloped in 1971. They had two children together, Brenda and Corey and lived happily together in Atlantic until Marion’s passing in 1992.

Dianna enjoyed camping and riding bikes in her younger days and always admired the lights during the holidays. Later in life she spent hours reading, enjoyed walks, and in the winter you could find Dianna outside making footprints in the snow. Dianna had a large group of friends and loved getting together for dinner with them. After she had a heart attack she found community at the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program at Cass County Memorial Hospital and made exercise there a part of her weekly routine.

She is survived and will be missed dearly by her daughter Brenda Irwin and her two children, Brenner and Ainsley Irwin, her son Corey Pine, his wife Nicole Whitney, and their daughter Marion J.W. Pine. She was predeceased by her husband Marion Pine, her parents Miles and LaVonne Collins, her sister Kay Collins, and brother Dennis Collins.

A service will be held at the end of June in Atlantic, Iowa.
