Donna Woodward

Donna Woodward, 85, of Lewis, Iowa, died Wednesday, August 31, 2011, at her home in Lewis.

The daughter of Leo Boyd and Minnie Breede Prall, Donna was born November 8, 1925, in Atlantic, Iowa. She graduated from Atlantic High School in 1944 and married Roscoe (Rock) Woodward on March 25, 1944. They farmed south of Lewis until 1998 when they moved into Lewis. Donna retired from Norwest Bank in 1990. She was a member of the Lewis United Congregational Methodist Church.

Donna is survived by her three children, Barbara O'Shea of Kansas City, MO, Richard Woodward and his wife Sharon of Lewis, IA and Jo Beth Croatt and her husband Melvin of St. Paul, MN; six grandchildren, Laura Goodwin and her husband Craig of Lee's Summit, Mo, Michael O'Shea and his wife Arlene of Lee's Summit, MO, Erin Johnson and her husband Clifton of San Antonio, TX, Christy Ulbrich and her husband Scott of Maple Grove, MN, Ryan Woodward and his wife Lisa of Lewis, IA, Lindsey Bullington and her husband Austin of Danville, KY; twelve great-grandchildren, Zachary, Noah, Zoe and Miles Goodwin, Alex and Megan Johnson, Annika Ulbrich, Malena and Reid Woodward, Joslyn, Jackson and Jasper Bullington; one sister, Delores Nelson of Atlantic, IA; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rock and her parents, Leo and Minnie Prall.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, September 3, 2011, at the Lewis United Congregational Methodist Church with the Reverend Nadine Aydt officiating.

There will be a visitation with family from 6:30 - 9:00 p.m., Friday, September 2, 2011, at the Woodward home, 301 Washington Street in Lewis.

Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Lewis, Iowa.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to programming at the Lewis Congregational Methodist Church, the Oakwood Cemetery in Lewis, the Lewis Fire Department or the Lewis Library.
