Doris Ann Card

Doris Ann Card, the daughter of Donald Carl Fairchild, Sr. and Leona Francis (Lienhouser) Fairchild, was born April 14, 1965, in Adams County, Denver, Colorado and died June 10, 2015, at the Audubon County Memorial Hospital in Audubon, Iowa at the age of 50 years, 1 month, and 26 days.
Doris was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic Church. She attended school in the Denver area and graduated from High School with the Class of 1983. Doris worked in the hospitality industry for many years living in Colorado, Arizona, Minnesota, and Texas. She worked for the Travel America Company and was transferred to Avoca, Iowa in 2004. Doris settled in Audubon County in 2005. She has been employed at Dollar General and Casey’s General Store in Audubon, Iowa for the past several years.
Doris enjoyed camping and fishing. She loved meeting people and enjoyed entertaining. But most of all enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Dan Fairchild.
Survivors include her son Jeremy and wife Kelly Fairchild of West Palm Beach, Florida; her granddaughters Jayden Fairchild and Jacey Fairchild both of West Palm Beach, Florida; her significant other Keith Christensen of Audubon, Iowa; her sisters and brother Donna and husband Bob Barnes and Diana Armstrong all of Westminster, Colorado, Don Fairchild, Jr. of Hawaii; her special pets Ashley, Chuck, and Chance; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Steven Frock on Monday, June15, 2015, at 11:00 A.M. at the Kessler Funeral Home in Audubon, Iowa. Interment will be at a later date. The family will meet with friends on Sunday evening at 6:00 P.M. at the Kessler Funeral Home in Audubon, Iowa.
