Dustin Flinn

Dustin J. Flinn, 27, of Atlantic, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2008, in Adair County, Iowa, from injuries suffered in a construction accident.

Dustin James Flinn was born August 25, 1980, in Jefferson, Iowa, the son of Linda Pfeiffer and Robert Flinn.

He grew up in the Panora, Iowa, area and graduated from Panorama High School in 1998. Dusty received a welding diploma following high school and subsequently moved to Atlantic.

On October 14, 2005, he was married to Jessica Wolfe in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Dusty had worked for A.M. Cohron and Son for the last five years and was in the crane operator training program.

He loved golfing, Frisbee golf, fishing and his crane, Betsy, who he referred to as his other girlfriend. He was a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan. Dusty also enjoyed hanging out and grilling with family and friends. But most of all he loved playing with his kids.

Dusty is survived by his wife, Jessica Flinn of Atlantic; his children, Ayden Brown (Age 4) and Gracie Flinn (Age 2) both of Atlantic; his mother, Linda Goehring and her fiancé, Mike Bishop of Atlantic, Iowa; his father, Robert Flinn and his wife, Julie of Colorado Springs, CO; father-in-law, Jimmie Wolfe and his wife, Dorothy of Atlantic, Iowa; his siblings, Krystal Garland and her fiancé, Justin Meinders of Bentonville, Arkansas, and Ian Goehring of Atlantic, Iowa; his sister-in-law, Tonya Berkland and her husband, Ryan of Emmetsburg, Iowa, and Margo Wolfe of Atlantic, Iowa; three nephews; 2 nieces; and numerous other part of "our village"

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Arthur Pfeiffer and his wife, Elsie; his uncle, Leroy Ziebell and his wife, Viola; and his aunt, Jan Garland all of Perry, Iowa.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 27, 2008, in the chapel at Hockenberry Family Care in Atlantic with Pastor Doug Durre of the First Church of Christ officiating.

Burial will be in the Atlantic Cemetery. Following the burial the family invites you to join them for a luncheon at the First Church of Christ, 1310 SW 7th Street, Atlantic.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, May 26, 2008, at Hockenberry Family Care in Atlantic, with the family present to greet friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
