Elaine Mcentaffer

Elaine L. McEntaffer, 65, of Atlantic, Iowa, passed away Friday, January 23, 2015, at the Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic, Iowa.

Elaine McEntaffer was born in Conway, Iowa, January 26, 1949, to Glenn and Rita (Nichols) Hartman. She grew up in Bedford, Iowa, and graduated from Bedford High School in 1967. The family moved to Atlantic, Iowa, where Elaine worked at Robinson Hardware for over 25 years. Elaine enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and playing with her two boxer dogs.

Those cherishing her memory are her husband of 22 years, Jim McEntaffer of Atlantic, IA; her children, Glenna Luin of Atlantic, IA, Charles (Alison) Luin of Olathe KS, Mitchel Strong of Mission, KS, Ann (Scott) Brownsberger of North Liberty, IA and Jon McEntaffer of Atlantic, IA; grandchildren, Breanna and Elijah Von Weyhe of Atlantic, IA, Zoey and Ethan Luin of Olathe, KS, Alison, Leah and Ian Brownsberger of North Liberty, IA, and James, Jocelyn, Jayna and Jaxon McEntaffer of Atlantic, IA; brother, Don Hartman of Alleman, IA; sisters, Sue Betts of Raymore, MO, Connie Thompkins of Kansas City, MO and Jeannie Snow of Malmo, NE.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Preston H. Luin; and a brother, Richard Hartman.

Visitation with family will be from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 7, 2015, at Hockenberry Family Care Funeral Home in Atlantic.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 7, 2015, at the Massena Cemetery, Massena, Iowa, with Pastor Leon Hodges officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to the Unity Point Hospice of Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic, Iowa.
