Esther M. Foresman

Esther Marie Foresman, the daughter of John and Nora (Olsen) Pedersen, was born June 13, 1922 and died March 29, 2016 at the Exira Care Center in Exira, Iowa at the age of ninety-three.
She was born in Audubon, Iowa. On February 23, 1946, she married Audrin Lee Foresman. Esther and Audrin had two sons, Dean and Dennis. Esther, a devout Christian woman, was a lifelong member of Federated Church where she participated in many activities. She was a twenty-five year member of TOPS and an active member of WAGS.

Esther will be remembered as a wonderful neighbor who was always first in line to help others. Esther spent many years cooking for the students at Exira High School. Her friends and family will, in particular, recall her delicious pies and cinnamon rolls. Her grandchildren will always remember her as a loving grandmother.

Esther is survived by her two sons, Dean (Kim) Foresman of Atlantic and Dennis (Vickie) Foresman of Warrensburg, Missouri; three grandchildren, Seth Foresman, Kevin Foresman and Amy Helgeson; three great-granddaughters, Danyelle, Madison and Avery; a sister-in-law, Ruth Foresman and a brother-in-law, Jim Jorgensen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, William Pedersen and LeRoy Petersen, and three sisters, Katherine Martin, Helga Josephsen and Gladys Jorgensen.
