Faith Linda Bateman was born Monday, July 12, 2010, in Omaha, Nebraska, to her parents, Joe and Christina (Hartkopf) Bateman and joined family and friends in heaven the same day.
Faith's favorite food was Chinese. She liked getting her picture taken, but did not like being squished. Most of her time was spent kicking her mom.
Faith leaves behind her parents; her 4 brothers, Andy Bateman, his wife, Karen and children, Cadence and Tidus, and Joey, Sam and Max Bateman all of Atlantic, IA; her maternal grandparents, John and Linda Hartkopf of Atlantic, IA; her paternal grandmother, Sally Bateman of Great Bend, KS; great-grandparents, Reba VanDerHart of Centinnial, CO and Peggy Hartkopf Robinson of Atlantic, IA; aunts and uncles, Jessica Davis and husband, Eric of Council Bluffs, IA, Brad Hartkopt of Atlantic, IA, Jim Bateman and wife, Susan of Lawrence, KS, Kelley Wittmer and husband, Dave of Lawrence, KS and Karen Reddig and husband, Scott of Great Bend, KS; many cousins; and also many other family members and friends.
She joins in heaven her paternal grandfather, Charles Bateman; great-grandfathers, John VanDerHart and Doc Hartkopf; great-grandparents Rueben and Alma Peterson and Cecil and Bea Bateman; an uncle, Bill Bateman; and twin cousins; along with other family members and friends.
Visitation with family will be from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at Hockenberry Family Care in Atlantic. Faith's funeral will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 15, 2010, at Atlantic Gospel Chapel. Burial will be in the Atlantic Cemetery.
Faith's family requests memorials be made in Faith's name to the Nishna Valley YMCA or to the memorial fund set up in Faith's name at First Whitney Bank in Atlantic, Iowa.
Hockenberry Family Care in Atlantic, Iowa, is in charge of the arrangements.
