Ginger Ann Wardrip

Ginger Ann Wardrip, the daughter of Allen and Ginny Huffer Wardrip, was born August 12, 1969, in Kansas City, Missouri and died June 26, 2009, at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa at the age of 39 years, 10 months, and 14 days.
Ginger was baptized and confirmed at St. Theresas Catholic Church in Kansas City. She attended St. Theresas Parochial Elementary School and attended Park Hill High School. She later attended Iowa Western Community College graduating as a Paralegal.
In the fall of 1994 she moved to Exira, Iowa. Ginger worked various jobs, then has been employed by Grimes Asphalt and Paving for the past seven years. She also worked in the kitchen at the Exira Care Center.
Ginger was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Exira. She was involved in her son McKennas activities. Ginger enjoyed listening to books on tapes while driving to work and also playing video games at home. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Her favorite color was lime green.
Preceding her in death were her parents Allen Wardrip and Ginny Wardrip and her nephew Matthew Nielson.
Survivors include her son McKenna Wardrip of Exira, IA; her brothers and sisters: Jan and husband Mike Huegerich of Exira; Kim Meyerson of California; Jay and wife Lesa Wardrip and Chris and wife Rowena Wardrip, all of Kansas City, MO; nieces: Kelli and husband Dan Akers of Altoona, IA; Katie Nielson of Sioux City, IA; and Haley Wardrip and Alicia Wardrip of Kansas City, MO; special family members: Dale and wife Mary Ann Huegerich of Exira; Kristi Robertson and Jim Lingren of Elk Horn, IA; Tim and wife Ann Huegerich of Exira; Valerie Robertson of Audubon, Paige Robertson and Ben Robertson of Elk Horn, IA; Morgan Huegerich and McKenzie Huegerich, both of Exira; other relatives and friends.

Cemetery:
Inurnment will be in the Exira Cemetery.

Visitation:
The family will meet friends Sunday afternoon at 5:00 at Kessler Funeral Home in Exira.

Service:
The Mass of the Christian Burial Memorial service will be Monday, June 29, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Exira, IA.
