Heather Messing

Heather Marie Messing, 30, of Atlantic, Iowa, passed away Monday, December 17, 2018, in Hollywood, Florida.

Heather was born March 1, 1988, in Gold Beach, Oregon, to Kevin Lee Culley and Stephanie Ann Housherr. She grew up in Oregon, and in 2000, she moved to Iowa, where she had lived in Storm Lake, Ida Grove, Sioux City and Atlantic.

She was married to Mike Messing on June 27, 2015, at Sacred Heart Church in Ida Grove, Iowa. She enjoyed drawing, cooking and baking, reading, and most of all, being a mom.

Heather is survived by her husband, Mike Messing of Atlantic, IA; her children, Surianna, Chailey and Liam; her mother, Stephanie Housherr; her father, Kevin Lee Culley; a sister, Jennifer Culley; and a brother, Shawn Culley.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 4, 2019, at Hockenberry Family Care Funeral Home in Atlantic. Visitation with family will take place during a luncheon in the Hockenberry Family Care Community room following the service.

Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Ida Grove, Iowa, at a later date.

Memorials may be left to the family’s wishes.
