Inez Smith

Inez L. Smith, 68, of Atlantic, Iowa, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2008, at Atlantic Nursing and Rehab in Atlantic.

Inez Louise Murphy was born on February 2, 1940, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Glen Ernst and Helen Lorine (Lawton) Murphy.

Inez is survived by her sons, Gary Jameson and his wife, Paula of Lewis, Iowa, Larry Jameson and his wife, Tammy of Chandler, Arizona, Gerald Jameson of Glenwood, Iowa; daughter, Terri (Jameson) Smith and her husband, Wade of Atlantic, Iowa; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Harvey and his wife, Teresa of Mesa, Arizona; and sister, Dorothy of Winterset, Iowa.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Helen Murphy; her first husband, Richard Jameson; her second husband, Gordon Smith; and her son, Jimmy Jameson.

She has been cremated and a memorial visitation will be held from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday, March 31, 2008, at Hockenberry Family Care in Atlantic, with the family present to greet friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
