Izayah Michael Roy Pedrin, the son of Jay and Christina (Teppo) Pedrin, was born May 27, 2009, at the Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic, Iowa and was removed from life support on June 24, 2016, in Ann Arbor, Michigan following an accidental drowning on June 19, 2016, at the age of 7 years and 27 days.
Izayah was baptized at the Baptist Church in Newberry, Michigan. Izayah was a special child with autism and attended school in Carroll, Iowa. The family lived in Audubon, Iowa for many years before Izayah was moved to Curtis, Michigan.
Izayah had a special ability to construct very intricate designed buildings and bridges with his Lego blocks. He enjoyed snow and penguins and watching the movie “Happy Feet”. He loved dinosaurs, coloring and doing art work. Izayah loved to play outdoors especially at Albert the Bull Park.
Izayah was preceded in death by his step-brother Dominic Elkins; his great grandparents Vern and wife Faye Pedrin; his uncles Jay Pedrin, Michael R. Hallett, and John Bierbaum; and his aunt Jeanie Hughson.
Survivors include his father Jay Pedrin, Sr. and wife Jessica Pedrin of Sydney, Iowa; his mother Christina Teppo of Curtis, Michigan; his brothers and sisters Lucius Pedrin, Jay Pedrin, Jr., Aikidyn Teppo and Aryanna Teppo; his grandparents Terry and Kathy Pedrin of Audubon, Iowa; and Kenneth Teppo of Newberry, Michigan; his great grandparents Ronald and Delores Hallett of Percival, Iowa; his aunt Rebeca Pedrin and cousin Rachael Pedrin both of Audubon, Iowa; his uncle Alan Teppo of Newberry, Michigan; other relatives and many friends.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be conducted by Pastor Steven Frock, on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at 4:00 P.M. at the shelter house at the Albert the Bull Park in Audubon, Iowa.
