Jaimie Colette Behrens

Jaimie Colette Behrens, the daughter of James and Vickie (Hartvigsen) Brannan, was born November 8, 1974, at St. Anthony’s Regional Hospital in Carroll, Iowa and died May 30, 2018, at the Audubon County Memorial Hospital in Audubon, Iowa at the age of 43 years, 6 months, and 22 days.
Jaimie was baptized and confirmed at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Audubon, Iowa. She attended Audubon Community Schools and Audubon High School. Jaimie then worked for several area businesses.
In March of 2000, Jaimie was united in marriage to Curt Behrens. They were blessed with two children Chandler and Corey. Jaimie continued to work for area businesses until she was forced to retire due to her failing health.
Jaimie loved life. She was a Kansas City Chiefs fan and enjoyed watching Sunday night football. She enjoyed teasing her great nephews because they were rival Denver Bronco fans. Jaimie was very spontaneous and outgoing. For example last summer she bought a motorcycle so she could go riding with Chandler. She also had a simple side where she enjoyed watching movies and getting her nails done with Corey. Jaimie appreciated her many friends and was always considered as someone who could be depended on in any situation. But above all she significantly enjoyed family get togethers and spending time with all her loved ones.
Preceding her in death were her grandparents: William and Ina Brannan and Merle and Elna Hartvigsen; her aunt Linda (Hartvigsen) Best; and her close friend Cole Andersen.
Survivors include her children Chandler Behrens and Corey Behrens both of Audubon, Iowa; the children’s father Curt Behrens of Manning, Iowa; her parents James and Vickie Brannan of Audubon, Iowa; her brothers and sister Joel Brannan, Jennifer and husband Brad Sporrer, and Justin Brannan all of Audubon, Iowa; her nieces: Mykel and husband Willy Muhr and their children Brecken and Lennon all of Exira, Iowa, Stephanie and husband Charlie Asberry and their daughter Drew all of Exira, Iowa, Kiara Sporrer, Kodie Sporrer, Kadence Sporrer, and Kinley Sporrer all of Audubon, Iowa; other relatives and many friends.
The Celebration of Life Memorial Gathering will be held Sunday, June 10, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Parish Center in Audubon, Iowa. The family will meet with friends to share memories and refreshments. Disposition of the cremains will be determined at a later date.
