Jeri Walters

Jeri Kay (Long) Walters of Atlantic, Iowa, was born January 17, 1961, in Corning, Iowa, to Robert (Bob) and Phyllis (Kingery) Long. She went home to Jesus on September 29, 2013, at her home after a lengthy illness.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Kathy Briggs and Roberta Townsend.
She is survived by boyfriend, Doc of Atlantic; children, Rayna (Tim) Meyers of Lewis, Iowa, Samantha Walters (fiancé Shawn Clark) of Atlantic, Iowa; and Jack Walters (significant other Leslie Paulson) of Atlantic, Iowa. She is also survived by brothers, Tom (Linda) of Jefferson, Iowa, Phil (Patty) of Corning, Iowa, and Jim (Patty) of Albia Iowa; and sisters, Tessa (Duane) Hardee of Red Oak, Iowa, and Maggie (Rick) Moorehouse of Atlantic, Iowa; many nieces, nephews and friends.

She will especially be missed by her grandchildren, Colten, Caven, Brooklyn, Bentley, Evelyn and Adelyn.

A special thanks to Dr. Berry, Cathy Nelson RN, and Kristi and Patti of Unity Point Hospice for their compassion. Thank you to Bob Bebensee and "Ready" for your kindness.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 - 2:00 p.m. with the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 2, 2013, all at Hockenberry Family Care in Atlantic. Burial will be in the Southlawn Memory Gardens, Atlantic.

Jeri (Stub) will be missed by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are being accepted in Jeri's name at Nishna Valley Credit Union.
