Jessie Leeper

June 3, 1993 — June 19, 2013

Jessie Scott Leeper was born June 3, 1993, in Atlantic, Iowa, the son of Roy and Kelly (Daugard) Leeper and passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa.

He graduated from the Adair-Casey High School with the class of 2011 and was attending college at Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa. Jessie was employed at the Kum and Go in Adair, Iowa. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church north of Adair and an Eagle Scout with Troop #70.

Jessie never met a stranger and he could talk to anyone about anything. He enjoyed giving his family and friends a hard time and had a way of making people smile. Jessie was a hard worker and would do anything for anyone that needed help. He enjoyed weight lifting and football. He was a big Nebraska Cornhusker fan, especially when they beat the Cyclones and the Hawkeyes. But most of all, he was a good friend.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Florence Leeper and Lyle and Pearl Leeper; and his cousin, Blair Stover.

Jessie is survived by his parents, Roy and Kelly Leeper; his siblings, Michael, Alex and Katie Leeper; his grandparents, Frank and Dorothy Daugard; and his dog, Skipper, all of Adair; as well as numerous other family and friends.

Visitation will be held Sunday, June 23, 2013, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 24, 2013, both in the Adair-Casey High School gymnasium.
