Junette Kees

Junette Emilia Kees, 94, of Atlantic, Iowa, passed away Friday, December 30, 2016, at the Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic, Iowa.

Junette was born August 22, 1922, in Cass County, Iowa, to Edward and Frieda (Scherrinsky) Poulson. She attended school through the tenth grade. She was married to Donald Kees in Atlantic.

She worked in the janitorial department at Pub News for many years. Junette was a resident of the Atlantic area all of her life.

Junette enjoyed coloring, putting puzzles together, walking and spending time with her family.

Preceding Junette in death were her parents; her husband, Donald; a son, Brian Kees; two grandchildren; a brother, Doyle Poulson; and two sisters, Edna Lund and Marie Render.

Those surviving Junette are her children, Dennis (Sharon) Witt of Atlantic, IA and Candice Christensen of Atlantic, IA; grandchildren, Mandi (Doug) Quirin of Alta, IA, Essex (Mitch) Mullins of Atlantic, IA, Shane (Chelsey) Christensen of Atlantic, IA; great-grandchildren, Justice, Jasmine, Sierra, Maria, Haley and Lucas; and step-grandchildren, Tyler, Jordon, Dominic, Wrangler and Lexi.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at 2:00 p.m., at the Atlantic Cemetery in Atlantic, Iowa.

Memorials may be left to the family's wishes.
