Kevin Michael Marshall, 15, of Brayton, Iowa, passed away Monday, October 24, 2011, at Children's Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska.
He was born November 21, 1995, at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska, the son of Jebidiah Marshall and Shannon Hogue. Kevin lived his entire life between Brayton and Atlantic, Iowa. He attended community schools, most recently the 10th grade at the Exira-Elk Horn-Kimballton High School.
Kevin was an enthusiast for music and video games. He was proud of his individual style when it came to fashion. One of his favorite foods was pizza covered with gravy. Kevin illuminated every room he entered. He was a "ladies man" and proof of that were his many friends who were girls. His own personal Facebook quote was, "My iPod is my life, family is forever". He loved his family and especially enjoyed going to "gram-gram's" house.
Surviving Kevin is his father, Jebidiah (Tanya) Marshall of Brayton, IA; his mother, Shannon (Jason) Bradley of Walnut, IA; his siblings, Erynn and Tyler Julich of Walnut, IA and Sarah and Jessi Marshall of Brayton, IA; his grandmother, Patty Hogue of Atlantic, IA; his grandfathers, Michael Marshall of Brayton, IA and Keary Hogue of Harlan, IA; great-grandmothers, Shirley McFadden of Atlantic, IA and Patricia Esbeck of Elk Horn, IA; his step-grandparents, Mark and Rae Heckman of Cumberland, IA and Dave and Marcia Bradley of Walnut, IA; his aunt and uncles, Kelly Marshall, Meradith (Dan) Lung, Sean Marshall, Michelle Boken, Christopher Petersen, Robin (Ricky) Morehouse; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Connie Marshall; great-grandparents, Wayne Mc Fadden, Merrill and Mary Ann Petty, Levi Petersen, Robert Esbeck and Larry and Shirley Hogue; and his cousin, Ricky Morehouse III.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 28, 2011, in the chapel at Hockenberry Family Care in Atlantic, IA.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 27, 2011, at Hockenberry Family Care in Atlantic.
Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery, Atlantic, IA.
