Kristopher George “Little Bear” Crawley, the son of James Monroe and Jodi Larae Soll Crawley was born February 2, 1994 at the Audubon County Memorial Hospital in Audubon, Iowa and died October 20, 2011 at the Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic, Iowa at the age of 17 years, 8 months, and 18 days. George was baptized and confirmed at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Audubon. He attended Audubon Community Schools in Audubon and was a senior this year planning to graduate with the High School Class of 2012. Throughout high school George was employed with AMVC where he worked in North Dakota for one summer. He also was employed at Burg and Green Flash 2 hog confinements. He was also employed for Soll Construction and most recently Jeremy Petersen Construction. George was a member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Audubon. He was a member of the Audubon County Saddle Club, the Boyer Valley Coon Hunters and the Iowa State Coon Hunters Association. He was very proud of his dogs Demon and Ruby who are AKC registered coon hounds. This past summer he was selected to attend the Youth Championship Dog Hunt in Decater, Tennessee. George was an avid hunter and enjoyed to go fishing, horseback riding, trapping, coon hunting and hanging out with friends. He was so proud to be a registered organ donor which he was a tissue and organ donor in the hopes of saving others’ lives. George was a little Bull Shitter, a nickname that was given to him by his grandpa Crawley at the age two and held true to the end. George was preceded in death by his grandfather Harley Crawley. Survivors include his parents: James Crawley of Hamlin, Iowa and Jodi Crawley of Audubon, Iowa; his brothers and sisters: Jaime Crawley of Hamlin; Jarrod and wife Heidi Crawley of Shenandoah, Iowa; Tiffany and husband Brian Swagel of Audubon; Robert Crawley of Springfield, South Dakota; Tammy and husband Quinten Phipps of Manning, Iowa; James Crawley and special friend Tabby Schwab of Audubon; his grandparents: Edna Crawley of Brayton, Iowa; Bob and Darlene Soll of Audubon; his brother-in-law: Andy Grieshaber of Casey, Iowa; his nieces and nephews: Kaylee Crawley of Shenandoah; Katilyn Wolff, Mckenzie Wolff and Jordyn Swagel all of Audubon; Hunter Swagel of Massena, Iowa; Jayden Phipps of Manning; Josh Crawley of Audubon; aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many many friends.
Cemetery:
Interment will be in the Hamlin Lutheran Cemetery in Hamlin, Iowa.
Visitation:
The family will meet with friends Sunday evening at 5:00 P.M. at Our Saviour\'s Lutheran Church in Audubon.
Service:
Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Doug Opp and Pastor Steven Frock on Monday, October 24, 2011 at 2:30 P.M. at Our Saviour\'s Lutheran Church in Audubon.
