Lavonne Collins

LaVonne A. Collins, 84, of Guthrie Center, Iowa, passed away February 4, 2007, at The New Homestead in Guthrie Center, IA.
LaVonne Avis Collins was born on January 4, 1923, the daughter of James Pearl and Della Jane (Morgan) Beeson in Seeley Township, Iowa.
LaVonne attended school in Guthrie Center and lived their for all of her life.
On February 1, 1942, she was married to Miles Collins in Menlo, Iowa. After being married she worked at the mall in Des Moines, Iowa. After working at the Mall she worked for Dairey Din, Gallean Lounge and Cronks Café in Guthrie Center.
She was baptized and a member of the Christian Church in Guthrie Center. LaVonne liked going on walks, working on Circle Puzzle Books, music and nature in general.
LaVonne was survived by a son, Dennis of Guthrie Center, Iowa; daughters, Kay Collins of Guthrie Center, Iowa, and Dianne Pine of Atlantic, Iowa; and grandchildren, Mrs. Brenda Irwin and her husband, Brian, and their son, Brenner o f Lincoln, Nebraska and Corey Pine of Glacier, Montana.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Miles on July 20, 1984; three brothers, Lennis Beeson, Cleo Beeson and Roland Beeson and sisters, Paulin (Beeson) Woods and Doris (Beeson) Coe.
The family has chosen cremation and to have no services.
Hockenberry Family Care in Atlantic is in charge of the arrangements.
