Lorie Lee (Bramer) Bertram

Lorie Lee (Bramer) Bertram, the daughter of Kenneth and VerDene Andersen Bramer, was born January 16, 1956, in Audubon, Iowa and died May 17, 2009, at the Dallas County Hospital in Perry, Iowa at the age of 53 years, 4 months and 1 day.
Lorie was baptized at the Elk Horn Lutheran Church in Elk Horn, Iowa and confirmed at the Hamlin Lutheran Church in Hamlin, Iowa. She attended Audubon Community Schools graduating with the High School Class of 1974. She received her Licensed Practical Nurse degree from DMACC in Carroll, Iowa. She then was employed at the Friendship Home in Audubon.
On November 29, 1975, she was united in marriage to Michael Andersen at the Hamlin Lutheran Church. Five children, Chris, Jill, Kevin, Andrew and John were born to this union. They lived in Council Bluffs, Iowa, Atlantic, Iowa and Audubon. Lorie continued to work at nursing facilities in each location. In 1992, Lorie moved to Mason City, Iowa where she attended Northern Iowa Area Community College (NIACC). She received her Registered Nurse degree in 1996. She was employed as a R.N. at several hospitals settling in Perry, Iowa where she worked at the Perry Health Center and Rowley Memorial Retirement Home. In October of 2002, Lorie had a massive heart attack leading to a triple bypassheart operation in November of 2002. She became disabled due to several additional health problems. Lorie moved into the Perry Lutheran Home on April 18, 2009.
Preceding her in death was her son: Kevin Andersen; her grandson: Tymond Andersen; her father: Kenneth Bramer; her grandparents: Walter and May Bramer and Hans and Clara Andersen.
Survivors include her children: Chris and wife Lisa Andersen of Audubon, Iowa; Jill Andersen; Andrew Andersen both of Perry, Iowa; John Andersen of Clarinda, Iowa; her grandchildren: Quentin Noftsger and Dakota Noftsger both of Audubon; her mother: VerDene Bramer of Perry; her sister and brother: Jana and husband Tom Brader of Cherokee, Iowa; and Alan Bramer of Perry; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Cemetery:
Inurnment will be in the Elk Horn Lutheran Cemetery in Elk Horn, Iowa.

Service:
The Celebration of Life Graveside Memorial Service will be conducted by Pastor Steven Frock on Friday, May 22, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at the Elk Horn Lutheran Cemetery in Elk Horn, Iowa.
