Mable Elizabeth Richter, 96, of Adair, Iowa, entered into rest on Thursday, March 8, 2012, at Colonial Manor in Anita, Iowa.
Mable, the daughter of George and Mary (Tracy) Cunningham was born July 26, 1915, at rural Fontanelle, Iowa. She attended rural school and graduated from the Greenfield High School in 1933. She married Bernard J. Richter on May 15, 1939, at St. John's Catholic Church in Greenfield, Iowa. They resided in Adair all their married life.
Mable was a long-time employee of the Farmers Lumber Company in Adair.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Jahnke and husband, Marlin of Arvada, Colorado; son-in-law, Fred Blair of Bentonville, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Shelly Blair of Denver, Colorado, Jill Jahnke, David Jahnke, Jennifer Jahnke Gleason all of Arvada, Colorado; and two great-grandchildren, Tendai Gleason and Hayden Gleason.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bernard; and daughters, Margaret Richter and Francella Blair.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 10, 2012, at St. John's Catholic Church in Adair.
A Rosary will be held at 5:30 p.m., with visitation to follow from 6:00 - 7:30 on Friday, March 9, 2012, at Hockenberry Funeral Home in Adair.
The committal service will be in St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Adair.
Hockenberry Family Care in Adair, Iowa, is in charge of the arrangements.
