Marjorie Schultz

Marjorie Ellen Schultz, 91, of Atlantic, Iowa, passed away Friday, November 28, 2014, at Atlantic Nursing and Rehab Center in Atlantic, Iowa.

She was born January 13, 1923, the daughter of Edwin and Viola (Johnson) Friedly in Verdon, Nebraska. Marjorie grew up in southeast Nebraska and graduated from high school in 1941. She continued her education at Peru State Teacher's College and obtained her Teacher's Degree. On September 22, 1951, she was united in marriage to William Schultz in Pawnee City, Nebraska. Marjorie worked as a school teacher until she had her family, at which time she became a homemaker.

Marjorie is survived by her son, Walter Schultz and his wife, Leslie, of Norfolk, NE; her daughter, Mary Thomas and her husband, Joel, of Adel, Iowa; her grandchildren, Ben Schultz, Sam (Megan) Schultz, Jessica (Nick) Embree, Abigail Embree, Owen Embree, Evangeline Embree, Jacque (Kurt) Pary and Deni Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Schultz, and her daughter, Susan.

Visitation services will be held from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m., Monday, December 1, 2014, at Hockenberry Family Care in Atlantic, Iowa.

A private family graveside service will take place in the St. Mark's Cemetery in Verdon, Nebraska.

The family is suggesting memorials go to St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Verdon, NE.
