Mark "Badger" Murphy

Mark Allen Murphy was born on May 17, 1963 in Redfield, the son of Bobbie Dean and Sharlene Kay (Freeman) Murphy.

He passed away from cancer Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at his home in Casey.

Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Sharlene Murphy of Casey; brother, Richard (Annette) Murphy of Casey; sister, Pam Murphy of Atlantic; nephews: Josh Murphy of Atlantic and Shane (Megan) Murphy of Redfield; nieces: Bobbi Jo (Eric) Murphy of Massena, Erin Lee Nourse of Des Moines, Susi Truner of Coon Rapids, Chey Wagner of Des Moines, Cass Wagner of Des Moines and Sunni (Aaron) Proctor of Texas; great nephews: Zach (Ella) Mathisen of Atlantic, Monte Murphy of Redfield and Landon Proctor of Texas; great nieces: Jana (Brentin) Lambert of Atlantic, Dani (Max) Bateman of Atlantic, Ashlyn Adams of Lewis, Emma Proctor of Texas, Kaylee Proctor of Texas and Taylor Truner of Coon Rapids; great great nieces: Livy Bateman of Atlantic and Milani Flippen of Texas, along with many other family members and friends.

Mark was preceded in death by his father, Bobbie Murphy; sister, Patti Murphy; his Freeman and Murphy grandparents; brother-in-law, Roger Caltrider and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Mark was loved by many family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Redfield American Legion Hall from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 10, 2024.
