Mary L. (Chester) Nebola, 94, of Cumberland, Iowa, died Saturday, March 10, 2012, at Colonial Manor in Anita, Iowa.
She was born in Cass County, Iowa to Ulysses and Cynthia (Mason) Chester, September 22, 1917. She married Harry F. Nebola February 10, 1940.
Mary was a long time member of the United Methodist Church in Cumberland, IA, and also attended the UMC in Henning, MN, the UMC in Raymondville, TX, and the United Protestant Church in Silver Bay, MN.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother and sister-in-law Floyd and Helen Chester, sisters and brothers-in-law Edrie and Lyle Neary, Eula and Charles Mills and sister Opal Chester, father-in-law and mother-in-law Joseph and Mary Nebola, brother-in-law Ernest Nebola, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Harold and Virginia Nebola, Elmer and Gerry Nebola, Hilbert and Ella Nebola and George and Hope Nebola.
She is survived by one daughter, four grandchildren, several great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Elnora Nebola, nieces and nephews.
Per Mary's wishes, cremation has taken place and no calling hours, visitation or funeral services are scheduled. The best memorial for her would be to make opportunities to communicate with living friends and loved ones in addition to being mindful of others in need.
