Mary White

Mary Patricia White, 56, of Exira, Iowa passed away Sunday, October 27, 2013 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

She was born May 30, 1957 in Omaha, NE, the daughter of Salvatore and Patricia (Dean) Belfiore. Mary was raised in Omaha and graduated from Benson High School. She also attended and graduated from Capital Beauty College in Omaha. Mary later moved to southwest Iowa to raise her children. She most recently and for many years was employed in the nursing home industry as a housekeeper and cook.

Mary was a very loving mother and friend. She was known to take people in and love them as if they were her family, without any judgment. There isn't anything negative that could be said about Mary. She never knew a stranger and is loved by many.

Mary collected elephants and has recently been teased about her LARGE collection.


She will be missed, IMMENSELY.

Mary is survived by her children Janet, Ejay, Eddie and Jon and her siblings Jim, Kathy, Betty and Barb.

She is preceded in death by husband Ray Herron, her parents Sam and Pat Belfiore and her sister JoAnne.

Visitation will be Friday, November 1, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. with family present from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m., prior to the service at Hockenberry Funeral Home in Atlantic.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 1, 2013, at 2:00 p.m., at the Hockenberry Family Care Funeral Home in Atlantic, Iowa.

Hockenberry Family Care in Atlantic, Iowa, is in charge of arrangements.
