Max Duain Foresman

April 17, 1924 — October 2, 2008

Max Duain Foresman, the son of George and Ethel Rosenberger Foresman was born April 17, 1924, on his parents farm near Guthrie Center, Iowa and died October 2, 2008, at the Friendship Home in Audubon, Iowa at the age of 84 years, 5 months and 15 days.
Max was baptized and confirmed at Bowman Chapel Methodist Church on March 25, 1951. He attended rural Guthrie County schools and attended Guthrie Center High School. Max then helped operate the family farm.
On July 28, 1958, he was united in marriage to Ruth Stonoff at the First Methodist Church in Burlington, Iowa. Max worked with his father on the family farm. In the fall of 1963 they had a farm sale. Max worked as a hired man for Floyd Wilson in Guthrie County until 1968. They moved to Audubon in 1968. Max worked for Emmert Manufacturing Company from 1968 until 1975. Then he was employed by A & G Farm Service as a feed truck driver from 1975 until he retired in June of 1985. During retirement Max occasionally would drive cars for Christiansen Motor Company. He enjoyed going fishing and woodworking.
Max was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Audubon. He was an usher for many years and was a member of the mens group. He also was a member of the Audubon County Conservation Club.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers: Marvel Foresman, Orville and wife Helen Foresman and Audrin Foresman.
Survivors include his wife Ruth Foresman of Audubon, IA; his children: Janet and Kevin Hircock of Adel, IA; and Brian Foresman of Atlantic, IA; his grandchildren: Cody Hircock of Clive, IA; Molly Hircock of West Des Moines, IA and Taylor Hircock of Adel, IA; his sisters-in-law: Dorothy Foresman of Montieth, IA and Esther Foresman of Exira, IA; his brother-in-law Carl and Roberta Stonoff of Oakville, IA; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Cemetery:
Interment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery (Bowman Chapel) in Guthrie County, Iowa.

Visitation:
The family will meet friends Sunday afternoon at 2:00 at the First United Methodist Church in Audubon.

Service:
Funeral services will be Monday, October 6, 2008, at 2:00 P.M. at First United Methodist Church in Audubon, IA.
