Maxine Hall

Maxine Ruth Hall, 81, of Atlantic, Iowa, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, January 15, 2015. She was born December 12, 1933, to Russell G. and Bertha (Satler) Musser in Newton, Kansas. She grew up there and graduated from high school in 1951. On August 25, 1952, she married Charles R. Hall in Hot Springs, Arkansas. The couple moved to Atlantic, Iowa, in 1965.

Maxine's career at the Atlantic Dental Center spanned 40 years. The people she worked with over those years became her second family.

She enjoyed doing yard work and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. God and church were very important to her and she was a long-time member of the First Assembly of God in Atlantic.

Preceding Maxine in death were her husband, Charles, on March 4, 1999; her parents; her sister, Jean; and her brother, Frank Musser.

Those left cherishing the memory of Maxine are her children, Charlotte Auerbach of Ozark, MO, Darla Hall of Kirkman, IA and Kirk (Beverly) Hall of Atlantic, IA; grandchildren, Cheri Lynn Auerbach of Ozark, MO, Melissa (Richard) Diest of Audubon, IA, Joe (Terri) Auerbach of Ozark, MO, Greg Wasson of Des Moines, IA, Halsey (Lindsay) Wasson of Waukee, IA, Dirk Wasson of Atlantic, IA, Matt Hall of Graybull, WY, Mike Hall of Atlantic, IA and Zach Hall of Atlantic, IA; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Raven, Blake, Addi, Hank, Penelope, Paige, Cole, Gwen and Charlie; brothers, Wayne (Eleanor) Musser of Torrance, CA, Marvin (Marilyn) Musser, Alvin (Priscilla) Musser and Lloyd (Lois) Musser all of Newton, KS; sister, Betty Demain and her son, Eric Demain, both of Omaha, NE; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 19, 2015, at the First Assembly of God in Atlantic, Iowa, with burial in the Atlantic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m., Sunday, January 18, 2015, at Hockenberry Funeral Home in Atlantic, Iowa.

The family suggests memorials to open door missions.
