Maxine Knop

Maxine A. Knop, 89, a lifelong Atlantic resident, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2006, at the Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic.
Maxine Anna Knop was born January 2, 1917, in Atlantic, Iowa, the daughter of Max and Marie (Wilms) Knop.
She graduated from the Atlantic High School and spent several years as a substitute teacher.
Maxine was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, where she was baptized on March 11, 1917, and confirmed on March 29, 1931.
She is survived by one niece, one nephew and cousins and was preceded in death by her parents, Max and Marie Knop and a sister, Leona Pieper.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, October 9, 2006, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Atlantic, with the Reverend Ken Davidson officiating.
Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Hockenberry Family Care in Atlantic.
Committal services and interment will be in the Atlantic Cemetery, followed by a fellowship and luncheon in the Fellowship Hall at Zion Lutheran Church.
