Mischelle Nantz, 29, of Atlantic, Iowa, formerly of Denver, Colorado, passed away Sunday, July 4, 2010, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.
Mischelle was born to Daniel and Melissa (Hartley) Nantz on January 17, 1981, in Wheatland, Wyoming. She grew up in Wheatland until the age of five when her family moved to Longmont, Colorado. She attended community schools in Longmont and graduated from Faith Baptist High School in Longmont.
She was united in marriage to Tomas Samano in September of 1999 and moved to Boulder, Colorado, after her marriage. After a while Mischelle moved to Denver, Colorado, and attended the Heritage Massage Therapy School there. She remained in Denver until her health began to fail then moved to Atlantic, Iowa, to be with her parents.
Mischelle was employed at the Denver Department of Health and Human Services. She attended A Potters House in Denver and the First Baptist Church in Brayton.
Surviving Mischelle are her children, Melissa Jo Samano-Nantz and Alvin Alex Nantz both of Atlantic, IA, Daniel Alexander Paredes of Boulder, CO and Don John Paul Mabry of Denver, CO; her parents, Daniel and Melissa Nantz of Atlantic, IA; her siblings Tammy Nantz of Orlando, FL, Vickie (Steve) Baker of Denver, CO, and Steven (Elay) Nantz of Denver, CO; her nieces, Charity, Stacie, Lindsey and Shiloh Baker, all of Denver, CO; her nephew, Chad Nantz of Denver, CO; her grandmother, Evelyn Nantz of Callahan, FL; and other relatives and friends.
Preceding Mischelle in death were her grandparents, William F. Nantz and Paul (Doris) Hartley; her uncle, Gene Chapton; and her aunt, Lori Hartley.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at the First Baptist Church in Brayton, Iowa. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 6, 2010, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Hockenberry Family Care in Atlantic.
