Pamela Kay Johnson was born December 7, 1953, the daughter of Dennis Allen and Mary Joan (Biggs) Johnson in Washington D.C. and passed away Thursday, August 8, 2013, at the Guthrie County Hospital in Guthrie Center, Iowa.
Pam's family lived in many states throughout her father's Air Force career. After his retirement, the family returned to Anita to make their home. She graduated from the Anita High School in 1972, then obtained a Degree in Practical Nursing from Iowa Western Community College. On May 25, 1984, Pam was married to Thomas Crane in Adair, Iowa.
She worked as an LPN for Dr. Wilcox, at Oakland Foods and most recently she opened antique shops in Casey. Pam had a great sense of humor. She liked anything that had to do with water, especially fishing. Pam was a member of the "Happy Hookers" fishing club. She enjoyed hunting for antiques for her shop and was a member of the Antiques Association. Most of all, Pam valued the time she was able to spend with her family, friends and pets.
Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Joan Johnson and her grandparents, Carl and Una Johnson and George and Julia (Exline) Biggs.
She is survived by her husband, Tom Crane of Casey, Iowa; her son, Christopher (Jennifer) Johnson; and her grandchildren, Kylie and Carter all of Lake Mary, Florida; her sisters, Deb (Phil) Littler of Dexter, Iowa, and Janet (Dave) Waddell of Weston, Missouri; her nieces and nephews, Ryan (Chrissy) Littler and their children, Isaac and Bella of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Todd (Haylee) Littler and their children, Jackson and Liam of Leavenworth, Kansas, Brad Littler of Omaha, Nebraska, and Cecily Waddell of Sioux City, Iowa; her dogs, Noodles and McKenzie; other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., followed by a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 12, 2013, at Hockenberry Funeral Home in Adair.
