Patricia Ann Nielsen

Patricia Ann Teter Nielsen, daughter of Berthal and Opal Inez (Trucks) Teter, was born July 22, 1930, at her parents rural home in Guthrie County, Iowa and died August 28, 2008 at the Carroll Health Center in Carroll, Iowa at the age of 78 years, 1 month and 6 days.
Patricia was baptized and confirmed at Our Saviours Lutheran Church in Audubon. She attended country school near Coon Rapids, Iowa through the 8th grade. She worked in Des Moines, Iowa as a waitress and then returned to Coon Rapids and worked caring for children.
On June 21, 1952, Patricia was united in marriage to Elmer Nielsen at the Methodist Church in Coon Rapids and were later blessed with one daughter Rita Kay.
Patricia and Elmer farmed near Viola and she loved caring for animals and outdoor work. She was a good cook and painting was a hobby she had. After they quit farming for themselves Elmer worked as a farmhand and Patricia helped. Elmers health failed and after his passing Patricia worked at CDS in Harlan, Iowa, then at West Central Outreach.
Patricia entered Carroll Health Center in Carroll, Iowa as her health failed and passed away two months later. She was a member of Our Saviours Lutheran Church in Audubon.
Preceding her in death in addition to her husband were her parents; her infant brother Maurice Teter and her brothers-in-law: Virgil J. Nielsen, Donald Lee Nielsen, Harold and Alice Winther, and Jeff Roberts.
Survivors include her daughter Rita Kay and husband Wes Bosier of Redfield, IA; her grandsons: Tyler Lee Wurzer of Boulder, CO and Cullen Joseph Wurzer of Grimes, IA; her step-daughter Danielle Bosier of Redfield, IA her brothers and sisters: Darlene Wilson of Des Moines, IA; Gene Teter of Littleton, CO; Kenneth and Gladys Teter of Coon Rapids, IA; Donna and Carl Bylund of Avoca, IA; Duane and Rose Teter of Ogden, IA; Dick and Fabiola Teter of Arroyo Honda, NM; Jo Ann Knowles of Carroll, IA: Sharon Crissy of Ottumwa, IA; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Marvin and Laurel Nielsen and Irene Hansen, all of Audubon; Donna and Glenn Byriel of Boone, IA; Mary Jane and John Stenhusen of Irwin, IA; Janell Roberts of Exira, IA; and Jean and Fred Loudenslager of Holdridge, NE; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Cemetery:
Interment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Audubon.

Visitation:
The family will meet friends Monday evening at 6:00 at the Kessler Funeral Home in Audubon.

Service:
Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at 10:30 A.M. at Our Saviours Lutheran Church in Audubon.
